Senate HELP Committee Chair Lamar Alexander (R-TN) announced this week that the committee will hold a hearing on John Ring, nominee to fill the vacancy created by NLRB Chairman Philip Miscimarra's retirement, on February 14. President Trump's recent nomination of the Morgan, Lewis & Bockius Partner will reestablish a Republican majority on the Board. If confirmed, Mr. Ring will bring to the Board impressive credentials, having represented employers before the NLRB in an array of labor-related cases. With Mr. Ring's confirmation, the Board will be able to move on a number of priorities, including joint employer determinations, expedited elections, and handbook rules issues.
