HR Policy Board Members Launch Service to Link Available Workers with Jobs

April 17, 2020

Association Board Members from Lincoln Financial, Verizon, and Accenture launched a new HR Policy-supported business-to-business platform that allows companies needing workers to connect with those that have furloughed or laid off employees.

No cost to participate:  People + Work Connect is open to companies with 100 or more positions to fill or workers to place.  Over 250 companies are expected to provide their data to the database in the next week, and there is no cost to participate.

Platform focuses on skills, locations:  The technology platform, developed and sponsored by Accenture, allows participating companies to provide job titles, skills, and locations of workers globally and across industries, matching workforce needs with available workers.

Member-driven:  The platform was created by HR Policy Board members Lisa Buckingham, Executive Vice President and Chief People, Place and Brand Officer, Lincoln Financial Group; Christy Pambianchi, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, Verizon; and Ellyn Shook, Chief Leadership and Human Resources Officer, Accenture as well as Pat Wadors, Chief Talent Officer, Talent Now.

Tim Bartl, HR Policy President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “HR Policy Association is pleased to support this important initiative and has worked to help coalition members formulate policies and practical approaches to accelerate talent movement across companies in these extraordinary times.  This cooperation is essential to help reduce the pandemic’s impact on people and the economy.”
