Unite faces internal dispute with GMB union over alleged bullying. University and College Union criticized for activist capture by small revolutionary groups, leading to unproductive strikes

The key points to know: The Unite union faces internal dispute with GMB union over alleged bullying. Some members of the GMB union working for Unite went on strike last week and are formally in dispute with their employer. The irony of staff in Unite’s ‘Bargaining and Disputes Support Unit’ going on strike has not been lost on union figures. Elsewhere the University and College Union is being criticized for activist capture by small far-left groups.
