New HRPA/SIOP Guide Highlights Next-Gen ERG Strategies

HR Policy Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) Foundation are pleased to release to members a new CHRO Guide on next-gen strategies for employee resource groups (ERGs). 

Our new Guide, ERG 2.0: A CHRO Guide of Effective Practices for Employee Resource Groups, distills the survey results of over 100 large companies and in-depth interviews with CHROs and CDOs conducted by SIOP researchers. 

Due to evolving DEI, employee engagement, and business strategies – companies are taking a fresh look at their ERGs to ensure that their value to employees and the company are maximized. 

 The Guide includes:

1. Current state of ERGs within companies: The prevalence and type of ERGs, ERG longevity, positioning within companies today, and changes planned for the future.

2. Playbook for an effective ERG: The Guide breaks down the process for revamping your ERGs into four critical steps with advice on how to achieve results: Align ERGS to organizational strategy and goals; Strengthen governance; Develop ERG leaders; and Reinforce inclusion.

3. CHRO insights and practical examples bring the playbook and data to life. Full survey data included from more than 100 HRPA member companies.
