Wendu Nwakanma
Wendu currently serves as a vice president in Workplace Advisory Institutional Distribution within Asset & Wealth Management . In this capacity, he leads Ayco’s corporate development efforts in the Northeast region. In his role, Wendu helps business executives and HR leaders design and deliver differentiated financial wellbeing solutions for senior executives and key talent. Wendu has gained significant experience leading commercial teams and advising senior decision makers on strategic and mission critical initiatives across private and public sectors.
He started at Goldman Sachs on the Prime Brokerage desk in the Global Market division. In prior roles, he served as the Wall Street Liaison for the British Government in the aftermath of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis and has helped to build and scale a Fintech company into unicorn status.
Wendu holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in finance, both from Rutgers University. He is a Charter Holder with the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) association. He lives on Long Island, NY with his wife and three kids.
