Colleen Denston
Colleen Denston is Vice President of HCM Transformation at Oracle. She has broad experience in managing diverse teams delivering a wide variety of solutions including cost reduction, new product development, organizational mergers and various human resource systems and infrastructure. She has expertise is in leading, managing, measuring and controlling various initiatives.
Colleen has a background of 25+ years in the fields of management, finance and human resources and she was the 2019-2020 Director of Workforce Development, 2017-2019 Director of the Maryland Society of Human Resources and previously held the position of Deputy Director and Director of Government Affairs for the same volunteer organization from 2010 to 2014. During the 13+ years as the Vice President of Operations for Trice Valuation Services, Colleen began her journey into Human Resources. Her resume includes leadership in Eastern Shore SHRM since 2006 (a member since 2001) and the Employment Relations Committee for the Maryland Chamber of Commerce. As a representative for MD SHRM, she appeared before the U.S. House Financial Services Subcommittee, the MD House Economic Matters Committee and the MD Senate Finance Committee in Annapolis and on C-Span’s Washington Journal to participate in a round table discussion regarding financial institutions and consumer credit. She also discussed employers’ access to applicants’/employees’ credit histories on the Dan Rodricks (88.1 WYPR) radio show. Starting in January, 2009 Colleen was the Director of Human Resources for Worcester Preparatory School in Berlin, Maryland. Here she created a Human Resources Department that supported the goals and direction of the school, the faculty, and students. Colleen started her career with Kronos as a HCM Workforce Consultant and is now in a rewarding career as a Business Architect with Oracle helping its clients through continuous advancement in their business operations and employee engagement.
