Sheri B. Bronstein

Sheri B. Bronstein is the chief people officer (CPO) for Bank of America and a member of the company’s executive management team. In this role, she leads a global team of 4,800 professionals across 26 countries who drive the company’s commitment to be a Great Place to Work. This includes a focus on recognizing and rewarding performance, providing development and growth opportunities, ensuring a workplace that is inclusive and provides opportunity for all and supporting employees’ physical, emotional and financial wellness. She also leads efforts to advance the company’s reputation around the globe.
Sheri serves on the Executive Committee of the company's Responsible Growth Committee and supports the Compensation and Human Capital Committee of the Board of Directors in her role.
A thirty-year industry veteran, Bronstein joined Bank of America in 2000 and has held various roles supporting Global Markets, Global Investment Banking and the international regions. Sheri is passionate about employing data and analytics to identify emerging trends and to drive meaningful HR and business advancements. She led the effort to publish Bank of America’s inaugural Human Capital Management Report, setting an industry standard by providing a transparent, comprehensive view of the company’s benefits, resources and programs that advance our culture of caring and ensure we are providing opportunity for all.
Sheri is a thought leader on the importance of mental health priorities and drives the company’s industry-leading focus on employee emotional wellness, including externally through the Mental Health Forum, which discusses challenges facing youth and best practices to support them as they transition into the workforce.
Sheri serves on a number of external boards and committees, including the Advisory Council of the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum, the Board of Trustees of Liberty Science Center, and the Board of Visitors for her alma mater, Colby College. She combines her expertise in people management and executive leadership on the Center for Executive Succession Advisory Board within the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business. She also serves on the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Executive Council and World Economic Forum’s Community of Chief Human Resources Officers, a select cross-industry peer group convening on timely topics facing industries and organizations. Internally, she is the Executive Sponsor for the company’s Domestic Violence Task Force.
In 2024, Bank of America was recognized by Fortune as one of the 100 Best Places to Work For for the sixth consecutive year. Sheri was also the recipient of the Ram Charan HR Innovation Award given by the SHRM Foundation TharseĊ Awards.
Sheri holds a bachelor’s degree from Colby College and a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University.
