Seth Borden Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employee Relations, Amazon

In August 2021, Seth joined Amazon as the company’s first Associate General Counsel for Labor & Employee Relations.  His team is responsible for providing strategic legal guidance regarding Labor Relations, Union Organizing, and Employee Activism and Collective Actions across all Amazon business lines in North America.

Prior to joining Amazon, Seth was in private practice for 23 years, representing management in labor and employment matters at a number of national law firms. Through his traditional labor law practice, Seth helped employers develop comprehensive enterprise-wide labor relations strategies and negotiated collective-bargaining agreements for employers in the automotive and aerospace manufacturing, telecommunications, gaming, logistics and food service industries.

In addition, Seth wrote and spoke frequently to employer groups and trade associations on labor law issues, and authored the labor law chapter in the first treatise on employee use of social media. He has testified before Congress regarding those issues and the NLRB's approach to new technologies in the workplace.

Seth lives just outside Annapolis, Maryland, with his wife of 17 years, Dawn, and their teenagers -- daughter Sabrina and son Chase.
