Scott Weisberg Former Chief Human Resources Officer, Wendy's International


Scott Weisberg is a consultant, executive coach, strategic advisor, and board member with deep expertise in designing organization and talent management strategies that propel business growth. 

As a former Chief Human Resources Officer and senior executive for some of the world’s premier consumer brands, he has earned a reputation with colleagues, board members and clients for his business acumen, ability to simplify complex human capital issues and elevate an organization’s performance.  

Scott currently consults and has served as an influential advisor/coach to senior leaders in a number of organizations and industries. Some of his recent engagements include working with several CEOs to align with their Boards, build and develop their leadership teams and create actionable systems that have resulted in elevated business outcomes. 

Scott is engaged, passionate about, and energized by working with talented people who are navigating meaningful changes in their lives and the organizations they serve.

From his experience with Wendy’s International, General Mills and PepsiCo, Scott developed many of the principles he applies today – including how to select and grow a deep bench of leaders, infusing an organization’s culture with a winning mindset, and an emphasis on valuing people. 

As Chief People Officer for Wendy’s International, Scott worked closely with the company’s CEO to form a leadership team that transformed the brand and led to a turnaround for the $10B business. He built an HR team that established multiple initiatives that elevated the company’s performance-based culture, while staying true to Wendy’s values of quality and respect. He also worked with members of the Board of Directors to establish and implement a CEO succession plan that maintained strategic continuity for the brand and business momentum. 

During his nearly 16 years at General Mills, Scott held multiple roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in Vice President of Human Resources for the company’s 7 U.S. business units and Marketing Center of Excellence. His tenure was highlighted by the role he played in the acquisition integration of the Pillsbury Company’s Supply Chain organization, as well as the creation and implementation of several of the company’s talent building and diversity strategies. In his earliest roles, he introduced cultural initiatives that contributed to General Mills being a perennial member of Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work” list.

Scott began his career at PepsiCo, serving on a global human resources team during a period of significant dynamism and growth. 

Scott holds a Master of Arts. from Columbia University in Organizational Psychology and has been an active member of the Human Resources Policy Association. He holds several certifications for various psychometric tools, including the Hogan Assessment, and is a Certified Leadership Coach from the Hudson Institute of Coaching.
