Rachel Barry
Rachel is a senior associate in Matheson’s market-leading employment law group, a Board member of Hockey Ireland and a DEI leader with a proven track record of driving inclusive initiatives.
With over a decade of legal expertise, Rachel has extensive experience in strategically significant litigation (including whistleblowing and equality litigation), complex transactional work, strategic advisory work and crisis management with an employment or industrial relations dimension and dealing with complex workplace investigations.
She has successfully appeared for clients at every level of the Irish adjudicative system and is a seasoned negotiator, advocate and trusted advisor. She has extensive experience across a range of sectors, with particular expertise in the financial services, technology, life sciences, transport, agribusiness and energy sectors.
In her role as board member of Hockey Ireland and Chair of its Governance Committee, Rachel drives excellent standards in governance in sport. In 2017 she was a founding member and co chair of Ireland’s first legal LGBT network, and has a strong track record of contributing to strategic DEI initiatives.
