Cheryl Flink, Ph.D.

Dr. Cheryl Flink is Senior Vice President, Director of Research at Truist Leadership Institute. Cheryl leads leadership development research and analytics, informing TLI’s program development, thought leadership, and strategic direction. She serves as an adjunct faculty member at UNC Charlotte’s Belk School of Business and is the author of Doing Well and Doing Good: Human-Centered Digital Transformation Leadership. Cheryl is an advisory board member of the AI EDGE program at Rollins College Crummer School of Business and is on the editorial board of the Leadership Quarterly.
Cheryl has held multiple executive roles in venture capital and private equity-backed firms, focusing on leveraging technology, research, and analytics as competitive differentiators for fast-growing organizations. Her experience includes being on the Board of Directors for Bounteous, a digital transformation company. Prior to coming to TLI, she led the research and analytics team at the Center for Creative Leadership. Today, her work is informed by these experiences and centers on understanding how investing in leaders impacts an organization’s ability to achieve both economic and social value.
Dr. Flink advocates for equitable leadership opportunities for all individuals is passionate about transforming the foster care system. She serves as an advisor to the organization Think of Us and as a Guardian ad Litem for foster children in Guilford County, North Carolina.
