Allyson Knox Senior Director of Education and Workforce Policy, Microsoft


Allyson Knox serves as the education and workforce policy lead for the Microsoft Philanthropies team. She is based in Washington, DC. She works with government leaders to prioritize digital skills, computer science, and STEM subjects in the US and throughout the world. She testified before the U.S. House Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Education during a hearing, “How Emerging Technology Affects Student Privacy" in 2015 and the U.S. Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade during a hearing “Our Nation of Builders: Training the Builders of the Future" in 2013. At the state level she’s testified in support of computer science education in New York, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Oregon, Ohio, and Alabama state capitols.
