Robbie Gilbert Former Labour Affairs Director, BEERG

Robbie was BEERG’s Labour Affairs Director to 2020. Born in Glasgow, he moved south to England, first for University and Law School studies and then a career spent in labour relations policy and practice. He has worked in the mechanical engineering, petro-chems and printing industries. He was the Director of Employment Affairs for the British employers’ body, the CBI. He also served as the Special Adviser to James Prior MP, who was Secretary of State for Employment under Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher.
