Stephen Mead has led large legal teams at publicly traded companies for nearly two decades. As SVP, Deputy General Counsel at Endeavor, he leads the Company’s global labor and employment practice, managing legal personnel in the US, EMEA and APAC. He has practiced law for nearly 30 years, including as a Partner in BigLaw and in other in-house roles, including 17 years at AT&T where he served as Associate General Counsel. His legal expertise spans litigation (including significant class action defense experience), appellate advocacy, M&A, negotiations, labor relations and collective bargaining, liaising with state and federal government agencies and responding to governmental inquiries, legislative relations, and compliance. Stephen is a trusted C-Suite advisor, a seasoned developer of talent, a mentor, and he excels at leading large, diverse teams of professionals. His roots are in the Midwest. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in history before earning his law degree from the University of Wisconsin. Thereafter, he became a Partner at McGuireWoods LLP in Chicago. After relocated to California following AT&T’s acquisition of DirecTV in 2015, he now spends his free time visiting his adult children who are scattered across the U.S., and trail running in the mountains of Southern California.
