LAMERG Meeting to Drill Down on Fast-moving Developments in Latin America Labor Environment

Our global ally, the Latin America Employee Relations Group, will meet in Miami on March 27 and 28 to address labor developments in Mexico and other current topics.
Ruben Cortina, the President of UNIGlobal International Union and a leader in Argentina’s labor movement, will provide the keynote address.
Topics to be addressed include:
- Mexican labor reform and the unauthorized border strikes, which will be covered in a group discussion and with insight from Fernando Ylannes of the law firm Bufete Yllanos.
- Activities in Brazil, including the new data privacy law and the expected pension reforms, will be addressed by Renata Neeser, a Littler Mendelson shareholder.
- Argentina’s complex environment will be handled by Ignacio Funes with Funes de Rioja from Buenos Aires.
- The evolving crisis in Venezuela will be addressed by Juan Carlos Varela, a shareholder and leader with Littler Mendelson’s Latin America practice.
