Buckingham, Gherson, Lalor, O'Brien Elected as Fellows of the National Academy of Human Resources

Four HR Policy members were installed as Fellows of the National Academy of Human Resources, an honor considered to be the most prestigious in the field.

HR Policy members inducted into the NAHR Class of 2018:

  • Lisa Buckingham, Executive Vice President and Chief People, Place & Brand Officer at Lincoln Financial Group
  • Diane Gherson, Chief Human Resources Officer at IBM Corporation
  • Angela S. Lalor, Senior Vice President, Customer and Employee Experience at Danaher Corporation
  • Dermot O’Brien, Chief Transformation Officer, ADP

“By election to the Academy, the members of the 2018 Class of Fellows and Honored Organization have been acknowledged by their peers as reaching the very highest level of achievement and contribution in the Human Resources profession,” said John Murabito, Chair of the NAHR and Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Services, Cigna Corporation.

“Each of these human resources professionals and organization has made sustained and exemplary contributions to their organizations, communities and the human resources profession," said Jill Smart, President of NAHR and retired Chief Human Resources Officer at Accenture.  "These new Academy Fellows and Honored Organization have played a substantial role in shaping human resource management thinking and policy.”

NAHR has only elected 168 Fellows of the National Academy of Human Resources since its founding in 1992.  Fellows on the HR Policy staff include CEO Emeritus Jeff McGuiness, President & CEO Dan Yager, Center On Executive Compensation President & CEO Tim Bartl, Executive Vice President Charlie Tharp, Senior Strategic Advisor Rich Floersch, and Senior Advisor Bill Allen.
