Union Access to the Workplace

Over the years, the National Labor Relations Board and the federal courts have developed a delicate balance in the law between employers' property rights and the rights of their employees to form unions and engage in protected activities.  HR Policy Association believes that employers should generally be able to prevent disruptions in their workplaces and their businesses caused by the presence of outside third parties.  To assist their employees and their communities, employers should be able to allow charitable groups and others with similar purposes without exposing themselves to having to provide the same access to unions and other interest groups whose activities may have a disruptive effect on the employer's workplace and business.
