Employee Notice Posting Requirements

HR Policy Association believes that U.S. employees are sufficiently aware of their right to form a union and that there is no need for a government-mandated poster to inform them of those rights.  Despite a lack of statutory authority to do so, the National Labor Relations Board has issued regulations requiring employers to post such a notice.  The poster does not sufficiently inform employees of their right not to engage in union activities.  In addition, many of its statements involve complicated and technical areas of labor law that are likely to confuse employees and lead to a misunderstanding of their rights.
