Description:  Among the most challenging of scenarios which could possibly face Chief Human Resource Officers involves the unanticipated absence of a key C-Suite executive due to health issues.  Compounding the difficulties of having a key member of the executive team out is each situation is unique with regard to how to approach handling the communication and potential SEC disclosure tasks which may face the company.  On Thursday, November 30, HR Policy Association in conjunction with the Center On Executive Compensation will host a membership-wide conference call featuring former SEC Chairman Harvey Pitt, the author of a highly regarded article on the disclosure obligation for companies facing a CEO health crisis. Chairman Pitt will discuss the process for evaluating what SEC disclosures may be required in the case of an executive health crisis.  We'll also hear from Stephen Cerrone, former CHRO of Sara Lee as well as Center's Rich Floersch, former CHRO of McDonald's and Shelly Carlin, former CHRO of Motorola Solutions who will leverage their experiences and lessons learned from going through CEO health emergencies.
